As our second project in Blender, we decided to make an animation of a chair.

For this scene, we had to model very few things: the chair (modelled from technical drawings and reference photos) and the simple backdrop with an infinity curve.

During the texturing, we learned how to properly UV unwrap the chair in order to apply the wood texture maps.

To really help sell the chair, we used ambient occlusion (AO) to help all of the chair elements look like they are part of the same object and to help the legs feel like they are part of the background.
